Frequently Asked Questions.
Explore the questions and see answers to the questions you may have.
What should I expect during my first session?
Your first appointment (intake session) is designed for us to get to know you. We will discuss your current concerns, relevant history, and goals for therapy. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and see if our clinic is the right fit for your needs.
How do I know if I need therapy or medication?
Therapy helps you change patterns and develop coping skills, while medication (managed by a psychiatrist) addresses chemical imbalances. Many patients find the best results come from a combination of both. Our team will perform an assessment to help determine the best evidence-based treatment approach for you.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes we accept insurance. We accept Edicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes it is. Everything discussed in therapy is private and protected by HIPAA laws. There are rare legal exceptions, such as if you are a danger to yourself or others, or in cases of child/elder abuse, which will be fully explained during your initial intake.
How often will I have appointments?
Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or bi-weekly initially, depending on the severity of your symptoms and the treatment plan developed by your provider. As you feel better, we may move to monthly check-ins.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment length is highly personalized. Some people feel improvements in a few sessions, while others with chronic or severe conditions may engage in longer-term, ongoing support. We regularly assess your progress and adjust goals accordingly.
What should I do if I am experiencing a mental health crisis?
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis after hours, please contact emergency services or go to the nearest emergency room. You can also reach a suicide and crisis hotline immediately.
The Care You Deserve Is Here.
Every person has the capacity to grow and change. We are only here just to help you realise your full potential and manifest what’s already in you.
